My vision for astrophotography is to share the wonders of the universe with beginner stargazers in real time. Images are processed directly from the telescope, on an iPhone, using an ASIair.

It all starts with the mount.

This is the first in a new series of videos on basic deep sky astrophotography. In this video, I'll be unboxing, assembling, and adding gear to a SkyWatcher EQ6-R Pro mount. We'll also take a live view of the Sun (at solar minimum), as well as image the Orion Nebula. Note: I am not sponsored by any of the telescope manufactures mentioned in this video. Opinions are my own.

If I were to start over again….

If I were to start the astrophotography hobby over again, I'd start here. This video explains why I think the Sharpstar 61 on an AZ-GTi is one of the best setups for basic astrophotography.
